Terms & SMS Terms

Pro at Hand is operated by DeForest Custom Homes LLC. These terms describe the consultation service and optional appointment text program.

Consultations and booking

Consultations provide remote carpentry and home-project advice from Eric. They do not include on-site inspection or construction work. Paid sessions cost $35 for 15 minutes, $65 for 30 minutes, or $120 for 60 minutes, in US dollars. One free five-minute introduction is available per verified customer email with no card, subscription, or automatic paid conversion.

Appointments use Eastern Time. Paid times are confirmed only after verified successful payment; saved drafts do not reserve time. Check the appointment status in My sessions. Video and voice calls require a suitable device, internet connection, and microphone; video also requires camera permission. App voice calls are internet calls, not telephone dial-in.

Payment deadline

Checkout holds your selected time for up to 10 minutes, with payment due at least 5 minutes before the appointment. The exact deadline appears at checkout. An expired or processing payment is not a confirmed booking. Payments received too late, or when the full appointment can no longer be reserved, are refunded in full. Refunds remain pending until Stripe confirms success; your bank may take additional time to display the credit. Contact support if a payment or refund needs attention.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may request free cancellation with a full refund, or free rescheduling, until 24 hours before a paid appointment. Requests within 24 hours go to Eric for review. Use Manage appointment in My sessions or contact eric@deforestcustomhomes.com. The app records the time a request is submitted. Requests currently require Eric’s review to carry out the change; sending a request does not itself move the appointment or issue a refund. A refund is complete only when confirmed by the payment processor. Contact Eric if you need to change a free introduction.

Your project information

Provide accurate appointment and contact details and only upload photos or information you are authorized to share. Do not use the service for unlawful activity or to interfere with other users. Written next steps and project information are available through your signed-in account.

Optional appointment texts

Program name: Pro at Hand Appointment Updates. By entering your mobile number and selecting the separate, initially unchecked consent box at Text preferences, you authorize Pro at Hand to send automated appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellation or rescheduling updates. This program does not include promotional texts.

Consent is not a condition of booking or purchase. Message frequency varies with appointments and changes; reminders are planned approximately 24 hours and one hour before confirmed appointments. Message and data rates may apply. Messages may be delayed or not delivered; check My sessions for your appointment details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Our text number is (855) 473-1220. Reply STOP to opt out when messaging is active, or turn texts off in Text preferences. You may receive a final opt-out confirmation. Opting out of messages does not cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you previously replied STOP, replying START or UNSTOP to the number may be needed to remove the carrier’s block before messages can resume.

Reply HELP for support when messaging is active, or email eric@deforestcustomhomes.com. Do not send urgent project questions by text; use your appointment or support email. Only enroll a mobile number you own or are authorized to use, and update your preference if the number changes.

Text reminders are not active yet. Consent can be saved now, but no reminder delivery is promised before activation. For details about information use, see our Privacy Policy.
